At Washington there are two ways to tailgate. On water or on land. Lets start with the tailgating on land. There are a variety houses and on campus places that students tailgate at, but the vast majority of tailgating occurs in the two enormous parking lots next to husky stadium. Here is a before and after of the North Lot.

The South lot is on the opposite side of the stadium and has a similar look. In these lots, you will find thousands of husky fans with all sorts of tailgating set ups taking part in tailgating games and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest. Here is an idea of what game day looks like in these lots.

These lots are impressive, but it is the tailgating on water located behind the stadium that makes game day in Seattle something special. Here is what the boat scene behind Husky stadium looks like.
Arriving by boat is a great way to get to the game. No traffic, not driving. Just dock up and unload.

Whether you are on the water or on land, Husky fans have mastered the art of tailgating. With Washington and Tennessee being the only exclusively college football stadiums next to water, tailgating on a boat before a game is a unique and amazing thing to do! It is something that really sets Washington apart on game days!
