Every college town has a main area where there is an abundance of restaurants, bars, and shops. In Clemson, College Ave is that street. Here you will find everything from Subway, Pita Pit, book stores, and more! If you are looking to suit up with new Clemson gameday attire, have a drink after the game, or your tailgate wasn’t filling enough College Ave will serve all of these needs.
If you are looking for the college town bar atmosphere, I have been told that TD’s, Loose Change and Tiger Town Tavern are all great places to check out.
If you are looking for Classic Clemson places off of College Ave. Check out Paw’s Diner on Clemson Blvd.

Here they are known for their meat and 3. You choose a meat ( I went with the fried porkchops) and 3 sides. The sides I went with were green beans, fried corn nuggets, and blackberry cobbler! If you are looking for homestyle cooking in a diner atmosphere, give Paw’s a try!
Every college town has a place that is full of athletic history. Its walls are lined with autographs and team pictures of great players and teams from the past. Mac’s Drive in is that place in Clemson.
It is located a little ways from campus, but if you want a great cheeseburger and see some of Clemson’s athletic history, it is worth the trip.
Finally, the most famous bar/restaurant/game day establishment in Clemson is The Esso Club.

From gas station, to grocery store, to restaurant and bar, the Esso Club has had a storied history since its opening in 1933. This places is THE place to be before, during, and after a Clemson Football game. I have been there on a non gameday when it looks a little like this on the outside and
this on the inside. On gameday this all changes. Throughout the day, thousands will fill the Esso on the inside and
the parking lot will turn into one large parking lot party. With its location right across the street form the football stadium, you can’t miss it. When in Clemson for a gameday, I highly recommend you check it out for a drink and fried pickle spears!
Beer, fried foods, and football! You can’t go wrong with that combination!
What are some of your favorite spots in Clemson that I have missed? Let me know and I will add them to the list!
