Tailgating Resources

One of the best parts about tailgating is packing up your tailgate and heading to an away game! While there might be only 31 NFL stadiums, there are over 4 times as many college stadiums! These stadiums are rarely downtown in asphalt lots. They are instead on a college campuses! With each University having its own unique, shape, size, and topography, there are different rules everywhere you go. From where to park, when you can start tailgating, and what you can bring with you, these are all different at each school!

This might sound daunting, but don’t worry. With a little planning you you will be just fine! Do your research ahead of time and know what you can and can’t bring. I have compiled this list of every Division I – Football Bowl Subdivision team and a link to their tailgating information.

Every school has a different format to their athletic site and how they present the information. Some schools only offer the information in a PDF, so if the link doesn’t take you directly to a tailgating information page look for a PDF. Some schools include it in their “Fanzone” section, or a “Football Game Day” information, or “Visitor Information”. You may also find it under their facilities. If the link doesn’t take you directly to where you are looking, it will definitely get you in the right area. There are a few that don’t have any information posted, so I would suggest calling the ticket office and finding out what you need to know.

Even if you are a seasoned pro, it is good to check on your school’s policies. With new construction occurring frequently on college campuses, tailgating lots often are moved around or closed. Before your first game double check to make sure your lot will still be there and to see if their are any changes you need to know about.
